It’s not a total loss, uncontrolled ADD gives me the super ability called “Hyper Focus”, which means I’m pulling ridiculously far ahead of the class in reading and completing the modules, as I just refuse to stop until the end of the day arrives. It also means “No Homework For Binky”, which is a plus when figuring out how much more free time I have at the end of the day. What sucks, however, is that my lack of discipline means I can write off all that free time… 

But, I’m AWARE of it now, so I can fight the good fight.

In my ongoing struggle – leading through depression and anxiety to the source of my problem (being a simple case of ADD), my focus has meandered completely away from my online presence.

It’s a bit like the Neverending Story – I’ve created a void that’s slowly eating up my world!

I’m hoping that my boundless energy will overcome my lack of discipline and organization (not entirely lacking in either, but enough to be a concern), especially since I’m aiming that energy at being more disciplined and organized.

… Now I just have to remember the princess’ name…

Kiki’s a bit choked at me for this one, but I laughed so hard when she shrieked that out, the memory deserved to be recreated for TLTD - a permanent reminder of how nutty she can be.

Intent – I have it in heaps that rival any mountain you can name.

Focus, on the other hand….

Depressive personalities have an advantage when it comes to death: There are so many people spending so much time and energy preparing for their demise, whether it be a religious compulsion or just being driven to accomplish as much as one can before time runs out. In contrast, if you’re blue enough, you’re ready! That baggage is packed. Unfortunately, you’d have to get out of the emotional rut to take advantage of all those freed up resources…

If someone manages to make an egg daiquiri, I’d like to hear how you enjoyed it – I’m not crazy enough to try that one just yet.

…or something like that.

It’s because of Med that, left to my own devices, I’m immune to boredom. That kind of gift can only bring awe and respect, both of which I have by the bushel for him.

I can’t say for sure if it’s a change in attitude or if it’s the Ritalin actually doing its job, but I’m making focused progress for the first time in …

… memory fails. I’ll have to accept that there’s a possibility that I was once this productive and just can’t recall it.

The funny(?) thing is though I don’t have anything recent on this site, I’ve a monster pile of completed artwork sitting on my computer. It’s almost exclusively in a folder labeled ‘Cool Herders’.

I’m ready to return to the drawing board now. Which is great, thought it’s buried under a pile of assorted crap – from art supplies to the spent husks of freezer pops.

Apparently George Michael had issues he needed to work out in song.

I couldn’t stop at just that, as I like charging through the numbers. So, if there was a significant change made to the design (a new logo, for example), I added another prime to the pile. Thus I went from v7 to v19 in a few short years. I’m content with things as they are (for the most part), so this site shouldn’t have a new number assigned for a while.

But it won’t stop there.
